Be the change you want to see in the world.



Eradicating Child Sex Slavery Begins with You. 
And it begins not through involvement in a program but through personal choices and lifestyle. 

How effective will you be in combating sex trafficking if you:

• support labor trafficking through your purchases?
• condone the supposed harmlessness of “voluntary” prostitution?
• support sexual abuse and exploitation through viewing pornography, especially child pornography?
• remain silent when others joke about pimps and “hoes”?

How effective can you be in addressing the horrific abuses involved in sex trafficking if you have not experienced significant healing from your own abuse?  Some people become involved in causes in order to avoid dealing with their own issues, or in hopes of solving their own problems by helping others.  Besides being unhealthy and counterproductive, such actions are a form of exploitation: using others to meet ones own needs.

Before becoming involved in Streetlight or any other anti-trafficking effort, please set aside time for some serious personal reflection.

Sign the Freedom Coalition Commitment
When you are ready, download and sign the “Freedom Coalition” commitment form.  It is for you to keep not to send in to us, but please contact us to let us know you have joined the coalition.  When someone asks, “How can I get involved in Streetlight Tucson?” our first question is, Have you joined the Freedom Coalition?

Note: there are two versions of the Freedom Coalition commitment form:

• One that includes biblical references, oriented towards Christians
• One without biblical references

Prayer Partners

 

• Unless God builds this ministry, we will labor in vain (Ps. 127:1).  Because apart from Christ we can do nothing of lasting value (John 15:5). 
• We can make our plans, but only the Lord will establish them (Prov. 16:9).  Because only if our plans reflect his plans and intentions will they succeed.  We need to pray that He may grant your heart’s desires and make all your plans succeed” (Ps. 33:10-11; 20:4).
• The battles we face in combating the evils of child sexual exploitation can only be won through God’s enablement and intervention (Eph. 6:2).  Because our weapons are not primarily human effort but the supernatural power of God (2 Cor. 10:4).
• The people to whom we minister can only be helped in the long run—they can only be transformed from the inside out—through the power of Christ (2 Cor. 3:18).

 

Prayer is, therefore, absolutely essential and we need your prayers.

Schedule A Speaker




You can help raise awareness regarding child sex trafficking and support for Streetlight Tucson by scheduling a presentation in your church, school, youth group, civic organization, etc.  Our presentations include PowerPoint, video clips, and handout materials covering:

• What is driving the demand?
• How to protect yourself or your children
• How to get involved in combating sexual exploitation

Southern Arizona Human Trafficking Task Force

 
If you are working with law enforcement, prosecutors offices, or the courts, contact us regarding involvement in the Southern Arizona Human Trafficking Task Force.

 





Southern Arizona Against Slavery (SAAS) is a community coalition in Tucson dedicated to fighting all forms of human trafficking in Arizona and around the world.  The coalition meets at 6pm on the last Monday of every month at 4631 E.
