Our Motiviation

Although Streetlight Tucson eagerly partners with and collaborates with those who do not share our spiritual convictions, we are a ministry motive by the love of Christ.

Streetlight Tucson is where God’s love and justice will kiss each other.

God is a God of love and justice.  Indeed, God is where:
Steadfast love and faithfulness meet; righteousness and justice kiss each other. (Ps. 85:10).

We believe that Streetlight Tucson is where God’s love and justice will kiss each other.  God’s passion for justice is reflected in his white-hot anger towards those who would abuse others, especially children.  God hears their cries,
Doing justice for the fatherless and the oppressed, so that men of the earth may terrify them no more.  (Ps. 10:18)

God’s heart for children, especially children who are abandoned or abused, is evidenced by his commitment to rescue them: 
“I will now rise up,” says the Lord.  “I will put in a safe place the one who longs for it.” (Ps. 12:5). 
With God working through his people, Streetlight Tucson will provide such a safe place.
